Baku Airport Map & Terminal Layout
Quick answer: Baku has one modern terminal, so it is easy to navigate. Departures flow: check-in → security → airside shops, food and gates. Arrivals flow: passport control → baggage reclaim → customs → the arrivals hall. Car-rental desks are in arrivals; the taxi rank, bus stops and car parks are directly outside the exits.

Baku Heydar Aliyev International Airport (GYD) runs from a single, easy-to-navigate terminal, so you will not get lost. This page shows how the building is laid out and where to find each area, whether you are departing or arriving.

Terminal layout at a glance

The terminal has two clear flows. On the departures side you move from the check-in and bag-drop desks, through the security screening point, into the airside area with duty-free, shops, cafés, lounges and the boarding gates. On the arrivals side you go from passport control to baggage reclaim, through customs, and into the public arrivals hall — where the car-rental desks sit and the exits lead straight to the taxi rank, bus stops and car parks.

Getting around & accessibility

Because everything is under one roof on a compact footprint, walking distances are short. Reduced-mobility (PRM) assistance should be requested through your airline in advance; there are lifts, accessible toilets and clear signage in Azerbaijani, Russian and English. For interactive terminal maps and live gate information, use the official airport channels and the flight-information screens in the building, and check your gate on our flight board.
